Caffe Demetre

The reason I'm giving it 3 stars - Not baby friendly and not wheelchair accessible. My husband and I love Demetres at Danforth. They always have the best desserts. However, now that we have a baby we realize things that we never really thought of before having a baby. They don't have diaper changing table in the washroom. It's so difficult to enter the establishment when you have a stroller because you have to manually push the heavy doors while pushing the stroller.

One of the best dessert places I have been to. It's a meal in itself. I suggest going there after a light dinner or no dinner at all. Definitely do not go there on a full stomach if you want to really enjoy the dishes. Apart from the desserts there is a nice collection of decadent smoothies too. Pricing is mid range but the quantity is definitely more than what you would normally get in a dessert. Recommend sharing an item the first time you go there so that you get an idea of the quantity.

That's an amazing place for dessert and people working there are nice, professional and always smiling. Best place to go if you crave sweet food!

Loved crepes and waffles. We had ordered #blush crepe and #tonguedepressor waffles. Combining fruity and chocolaty items was mouth savouring.

The washroom’s door signs are wrong. It says XX for the men’s room when it should be the ladies one and XY for the women’s. It would be better to have genderless washrooms if you don’t know how to properly place the chromosomes to each sex. 😊

The moo lala crepe was mediocre. The selection was limited, nothing I can't make at home. Overpriced 🙁

A nice place for desserts and coffee.

The best sundae I've ever had. I had the 'Daddy'O' which was made with homemade honey-vanilla ice cream, delicious chocolate sauce and perfect chocolate chips and cookies. It also has a neat ambiance and great service. This was my first experience with Demetres but I will actively search out more of their locations in future.

Big portions. Expect to pay $40 for 2 people. Place itself is nice too

This is an amazing and super cozy place to sit down and have a dessert, i love this place very much and will continue to come for years! Especially the staff member taking our orders that evening. She was very sweet and kind and let us take our time. Totally recommend this place! P.S. One dessert will most likely serve two people, the serving sizes are quite big.

Great place for dessert and coffee! Dessert portions are huge for the price you pay. Staff was very attentive, always refilling our cups of water and asking if we needed anything else and if everything was to our liking. The place was steadily busy, even after 10pm. Great place to go for dessert after dinner if you are out in the Danforth area.

They have some of the most amazing and delectable desserts. Very eye catching presentation that just makes you drool!!!

Nice dessert shop. Alot of options and great for family or a date. A little bit pricey but portions r bigger than usual. Big seating area too.

Probably one of the best customer service from this franchis in the Toronto area. The server not only helped us pick our items on the menu, based on our preference. We also recieved a free strawberry smoothie. 6/5 stars if possible.

It was great but I think me and my sister ordered too much. It was a lot of sweet for one sitting I would suggest getting one thing and then ordering more after you finish the first. I love their milkshakes!

Extremely wide range of desserts with very large servings. There is something for everybody - waffles, crêpes, sundaes, ice cream (including dairy free) I had df Coconut ice cream which I loved, it was very creamy and not too sweet. The other dessert that my friend ordered was a tad too sweet for my taste (I avoid sugar at all costs!) A great place for a date, family night out or just some major sweet tooth relief 😌

First visit in some years. Still a great spot for decadent desserts! Creatively named menu items. Fun and funny! Go with a group so you can sample the variety of desserts - it's going to be tough to just pick one....

Expensive and dare I say, overrated? I mean the deserts were pretty regular, nothing extraordinary. They can be a bit too much. You definitely can’t have an entire dish by yourself.

the brownie cheesecake was amazing! Delicious!

I have been there 3 times, tried the waffles, crepes and the brownie cheesecake lately. The presentation is very nice and the service is very good. Out of my 3 choices, I liked the brownie cheesecake best. However, the choices are a bit limited to waffles , crepes, cakes and drinks.

The staff was so kind and the waffles with ice cream completely delicious, I’m definitely coming back soon!

Since it's reopen, the menu has changed- it's smaller, not the same as I remember. Still a good dessert spot... But has lost some of its flare..

Waffles are always great. Cheesecake was also quite good. Don't just come here for dessert, the portions are huge so it will turn out a meal.

I remember when Demetres had so many different pies and crazy desserts. Now there were only crepes and they look big on the place but there was like a drop of nutella and looked big because the crepe is not folded. In reality is a very basic dessert and just presented in a tricky way.

The brownie points is my fave a little bit too sweet if it was toned down it would definitely be my fave

The desserts are always a hit with me and my girlfriends! It was a perfect date night for us to catch up over the best dessert in the city. The portions are worth the money, come with your belly ready to indulge!

Good customer service with fairly priced items. The portion sizes are enormous so you won’t feel like you are hungry (it’s big as a whole meal). Therefore, you need to prepare your self to eat a lot of dessert even though you’re ordering a single item. The dessert were not spectacularly tasty but they look good and tastes fairly ok.

This place is great! Just a few steps away from Chester subway station so it's very convenient to get there.I came here Monday night with a friend. No reservations, both of us agreed to drop in for some dessert.The only problem is we had a hard time deciding on what to order! There are so many delicious temptations on the menu! We settled on the Cheesecake with strawberries and a big scoop of the white choc ice cream. Wow! It tasted so good! The portions are pretty big so we were sharing our desserts.I love the environment! It feels so cozy and fancy at the same time! The service was amazing and fast! Will definitely come back again! This place is a gem! 💎
